Get your career off to a flying start
A Traineeship is an education and training programme with work experience that unlocks the great potential of young people and prepares them for their future careers by helping them to become ‘work ready'.
Designed to help young people aged 16 to 24 who don’t yet have the appropriate skills or experience, Traineeships provide the essential work preparation training, English, Maths and work experience needed to secure an Apprenticeship or employment.
Traineeships are an ideal opportunity for young people, aged 16 to 24, who are motivated to get a job but lack the skills and experience that employers are looking for.
Those who have been unsuccessful when applying for an Apprenticeship, or any other jobs, due to a lack of skills and experience are most likely be good candidates for a Traineeship.
t2 offer Traineeships in all vocational areas, such as:
- Business Admin
- Health and Social Care
- Motor Trade
- Hair and Beauty
This list not exhaustive. Whist a large percentage of learners are taken on as apprentices after their work placements, those who do not secure employment are invited in for 1:1 and small group support to secure an Apprenticeship.
Our Traineeship programme runs for 2.5 days per week for the qualification elements and is full time for the placement element. Learners who have A-C in Maths and English can expect to start their placements at around week 9. For learners who need to upskill in Maths and/or English, the placement element starts either at week 9 part time (studies alongside) or full time at week 19. The maximum duration of a Traineeship is 6 months.
See also the Study Programmes page for those learners who need more time/support to achieve Maths and English.
