t2 Academy

Formed in 1996 to help young people gain employment with training, we have grown to become one of the largest training and coaching companies in the UK. Staying true to our roots, our founding Directors still work in the business, getting involved in helping all of our learners develop their skills in the workplace.

t2 academy works with young people aged 16-24 to help them secure their dream career. Through a series of engaging sessions ,upskilling in maths and English, work placements and mock interviews with the civil service, we aim to progress our learners onto the next chapter in their lives in whatever their chosen area may be.

There is plenty of help and support along the way, you can take advantage of the 1;1 sessions available in maths and English or join our maths and English clubs.

t2 academy are based in the heart of the city of Bristol. With easy access links locally and further afield, we take the approach that if young people can travel to us, we can work with them. We reimburse all travel fares.

We occupy floor 3 in Tower House, Fairfax Street, Bristol. We have three large training rooms, all fully equipped with the latest IT equipment, two offices and a conference room, We have the capacity to work with learners on a 'roll on roll off' basis throughout the year.

Our team is made of experienced and qualified teachers and managers. Between us we have over 50 years experience of working with young people in various different capacities. We are experienced, motivated and dedicated to helping our young people achieve their full potentials.

Meet...Centre Manager Danny Williams

Danny Williams

Hello, I’m Danny and I am the Centre Manager here at t2 and have been in this role since 2017.

My role means I am involved with all aspects of running the centre, including managing contracts, overseeing the curriculum and developing relationships with partner organisations like schools, colleges and employers. I am fortunate that a large part of my role is working directly with learners, this could be teaching classes, providing 1:1 support and helping learners to progress. The role provides great variety and no day is ever the same.

The most enjoyable part of my role is seeing the progress that learners make when at t2; seeing people develop their soft skills, seeing them achieve qualifications and, of course, seeing them progress into a positive outcome. I am very fortunate that we have such a passionate and dedicated team here at t2 who all play a vital role in helping learners to progress.

Away from the centre, I enjoy socialising, keeping fit and football.

OFSTED Grade 1 Outstanding Inspection

"The matching of learners individual aspirations to relevant and constructive work experience is outstanding..."

Our Academy’s OFSTED Grade 1 Outstanding inspection in June 2015 (our 1st) sums up our provision. “A very high proportion of learners make exceptional progress in the development of personal, social and employability skills, their progression into work, Apprenticeships or further education is outstanding. The matching of learners individual aspirations to relevant and constructive work experience is outstanding; staff have developed positive and well established partnerships with a wide range of employers; they use these to create excellent work placement opportunities for learners, frequently resulting in full time work or Apprenticeships for the learners on completion. Study programmes are outstanding; skilfully managed activities are carefully designed to meet individual needs very well; learners enjoy their learning and attendance and punctuality are good. Initial guidance for learners are outstanding; parents, carers, schools and agencies working with young people value the extended guidance given by staff supporting and encouraging young people to re-engage with learning.”
